Emergency Travel Certificates (ETCs) are issued to only Ghanaian nationals, who are not in possession of valid Ghana passports but are required to travel to Ghana under an emergency situation. ETCs are meant for a single journey to Ghana and thus expire upon holders' arrival in Ghana.
Requirements:
Completed application form;
Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs;
Evidence of Ghanaian citizenship (e.g. copy of old Ghana passport, national identity card, etc);
Police report in the case of missing passports;
Letter of consent from parent(s) in the case of children under the age of eighteen (18);
Evidence of a flight ticket to Ghana (if applicable);
Processing fee of 5,000 FCFA with the exception of beneficiaries of the International Organization for Migration’s (IOM’s) Voluntary Repatriation Programme.
